1. Overview of the HVAC system of a bus
The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system of a bus is a key system to ensure a comfortable environment inside the bus, which is responsible for regulating temperature, humidity, air circulation, defrosting and defogging.

2. Core components of the HVAC system and functions
(1) Air conditioning system
The air conditioning system is the core refrigeration module of bus HVAC, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves and other components. Compressor: drive the refrigerant circulation and compress low-temperature and low-pressure gas into high-temperature and high-pressure gas. Condenser: cool the high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant into high-pressure liquid and release heat to the outside. Evaporator: the refrigerant evaporates and absorbs heat, lowering the air temperature inside the vehicle and dehumidifying. Expansion valve: controls the refrigerant flow to achieve throttling and pressure reduction. In new energy buses, the air conditioning system usually uses an electric compressor, which is directly powered by a high-voltage battery to improve energy efficiency.

(2) Defrost
The defrost is mainly used in winter or high humidity environments to prevent frost and fogging on the front windshield and side windows to ensure a clear view for the driver. Frost and fog are quickly melted through warm air flow or electric heating wires. Some high-end models use automatic induction defrosting, which is intelligently started through a humidity sensor.

(3) Electric heater
Since new energy buses do not have engine waste heat, PTC (positive temperature coefficient) electric heaters are usually used to provide warm air.

(4) Battery thermal management system
The battery thermal management system is mainly used in new energy buses to optimize the temperature control of batteries, motors and cabins. Battery cooling/heating: ensure that the power battery operates within the optimal temperature range. Motor cooling: prevent motor overheating, improve efficiency and life. Cabin temperature control: cooperate with air conditioning and electric heating to achieve precise temperature control.

(5) Control panel
The control panel is the interactive interface for passengers or drivers to adjust the HVAC system, which usually includes:
Temperature adjustment (automatic/manual mode)
Wind speed control (multi-speed adjustable)
Mode selection (cooling/heating/ventilation/defrosting)
Intelligent temperature control (some models support voice or APP remote control)
